Squares, feathers and last but not least men characterized Paul Smith’s show who switched to a coed concept. Johnny Coca’s Mulberry show was literally and figuratively colorful. Even though a couple of non-wearable pieces popped up (duvet-style poncho and green fuzzy socks), there were a few specifically fancy ones. Roland Mouret has been playing it safe for years, the collection’s only interesting piece was a cobalt blue ensemble. Anything Christopher Bailey touches turns into gold, let it be a shirt, sweater or the iconic trench coat – as it has been proven in Burberry’s second see-now-buy-now project, that is the 2017 SS stratified show. Can we get tired of rebellion? According to Vivienne Westwood not. She is not willing to change that, but one thing yes, she also, for the first time in her life, presented a coed runway.
