Szívem csücske, a Kate Spade New York nem tudott sok újat mutatni: bomberdzseki, midiszoknya és bársonycsizma – tehát minden, ami tavaly is divatos volt. Nála érdemes inkább a táskákra figyelni. Victoria Beckham visszafogott, angolos, maszkulin kollekciójával tetőtől-talpig beburkolta a modelleket, legizgalmasabb részletei a hosszú kesztyűk és a szögletes táskák voltak. A minimál stílus hívei Carolina Herrera bármelyik darabját szívesen elfogadnák. Ruhái egyszerűen szépek, és igen, ez ma már nagy szó! Diane von Furstenberg meglepően érdekes kreációkat hozott elénk, merész kombinációk és látványos kiegészítők jellemezték. Raf Simons debütált a CALVIN KLEIN-nál, és amint várható volt, koncepciója valóban sokkal jobban illik hozzá, mint a Diorhoz. Két szó, ami alátámasztja ezt: toll és műanyag. Oscar de la Renta két fiatal tervezője, Laura Kim és Fernando Garcia elődjük nyomdokaiba lépett, és RTW hét ide vagy oda, ők azért jó sok nagyestélyit bemutattak. A megbízható stílusú Tory Burch változatos kollekciójában a fehéret, a táncosokat és saját magát éltette monogramos díszítéseivel. A Keren Craig és Georgina Chapman által fémjelzett Marchesa a másik kedvenc amerikai márkám, ami szintén haute couture alapanyagokkal lázadozik a RTW keretek ellen. A Michael Kors Collection tudja, mi kell a nőknek: menő, de kényelmes luxus. A bemutató legnagyobb durranása mégis egy plus size modell volt. Mi lesz abból, ha a szüfrazsettek és a hip-hopperek stílusát összemixeljük? Marc Jacobs show-ján ezt is megtudhattuk. Darabjai különlegesnek különlegesek, de esztétikusnak már kevésbé mondanám őket. Ralph Lauren a see-now-by-now stratégia keretén belül nem a 2017-es őszi / téli, hanem a tavaszi / nyári kollekcióját mutatta be, ami igazán stílushű és naturális lett. Tom Ford egy héten belül mindkettőt prezentálta, az AW fél szerint visszatérnek a színes harisnyák. Tommy Hilfiger nem csak a szezonjával (SS), de a helyszínével (Los Angeles) is kilógott a NYFW sorból, de show-ja kétségtelenül hatalmas sikert aratott.

Diane von Furstenberg brought surprisingly interesting creations to us, featuring bold combinations and spectacular accessories. Raf Simons debuted at CALVIN KLEIN and as it was expected, his concept was more suited for this line than Dior. Two words that supports this: feather and plastic. The two new Oscar de la Renta designers followed in their forefather’s footsteps and didn’t care about RTW week, they presented a lot of evening gowns. The dependable styled Tory Burch’s eclectic collection vitalized the color white, dancers and herself with monogram embellishments. The Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman lead Marchesa is my other favorite American brand that also rebelled RTW restrictions with haute couture materials. The Michael Kors Collection knows what women want: cool, but comfortable luxury. Yet the big whoop of the show was a plus size model. What happens if we combine the styles of suffragettes and hip-hoppers? We had a chance to find out at Marc Jacobs’ show. The pieces were extraordinary, although I wouldn’t say aesthetic. Within the confines of the see-now-by-now strategy, Ralph Lauren, instead of showing his 2017 autumn / winter collection, he presented his spring / summer line which was really stylish and natural. Tom Ford presented both within one week, according to AW colored stockings are back. Tommy Hilfiger stood out from NYFW not only with his season (SS) but with his location (Los Angeles) as well, even though his show was an undeniable success.
